I live in Hawaii and was disgusted with the idea of going to an ordinary jewelrly store locally. I spent a month doing research on how to best purchase a diamond and was not sold on the idea of purchasing it online. After contacting leah of Union Diamond, I was almost instantly convinced this was how I wanted to buy my diamond as well as ring settings.

I am legally blind and having this set back I was solely relying on her expertise in a final selection. After I mentioned the dimensions I was looking for, Leah began to look through and see what she had that meeted my need. I was specifically looking for an F color VS2 clarity with a weight raning 0.85 - 0.89, with a girdle of either thin or medium. The cut had to be ideal along with excellent polish and symmetry, with a table between 56 and 59 percent, and a depth between 60 and 62 percent. I was very picky on what I wanted, and it seemed that I would either have to settle or hold off for another time. Nothing jumped out to me with that "That's the one!" spark. Leah was very patient and suggested we look a bit lower on the carat scale in which I was fine with as carat means nothing without looking fantastic and beautiful. That is when I found the "That's the one!" diamond. It was a perfect match, 0.80, F color, VS2 clarity, medium girdle, excellent polish and symmetry, with a table percentage of 56 and depth of 61.9. Had I not found it, I'm sure Leah would have tried everything she could to help me locate one that was suitable for me. I already knew that my fiance to be fancied an antique engagement ring and wedding band set, so that part was simple enough.

Unfortunately Leah had to go on vacation but her associate Danielle pick right up without any issues at all. Both of these two ladies helped me right till the very end when the ring was completed, which did have a time limit as I needed it in a week and a half.

I have never seen such excellent customer service as well as friendlyness in any line of business. The phones were answered almost immediately and I was even able to speak with the owner about finalizing the wire transfer. Leah, Danielle, thank you again for helping me with all my inquiries and more so for helping me picture the ring even though I am blind. You two went above and beyond any amount of service anyone would expect to recieve.

A final note to all you visially impaired people out there, Union Diamond's search engine was completely accessible through a screen reader, unlike some of their other online competitors out there. It showed me that they made effort to make sure everyone was given the same opportunity to browse through their inventory on their own. I have already begun to recommend Union Diamond to my friends and family and will to anyone else seeking to find that perfect ring for your special someone.

I recently purchased a princess cut diamond engagement ring from Union Diamond and I couldn't possibly be happier with the outcome!! Danielle was there to help me from the first call throughout the entire process- and when I say the entire process I mean it. I know that I can be a handful because I personally like to research EVERYTHING there is to know about something I plan to buy. Especially when it comes with a price tag in the thousands. So, when I began looking for the perfect diamond all I had was questions- and thankfully, all Danielle supplied was answers! Not only did I come to find out that she had previously worked for GIA (the most highly recognized diamond certification organization) but, it would seem that someone who has been working in the industry for quite awhile would become somewhat disconnected from the significance of buying a wedding/engagement ring, but not Danielle. I could see that she honestly cared about finding me that "perfect ring". I started looking early, so 2 months and several hours of questions later, I found the loose diamond I wanted and Union Diamond was able to find the perfect setting to pair it with for the most beautiful engagement ring!

Recently, my wife lost the diamond from her ring that she has had for the 47 years we have been married. We began the search for new rings not knowing one thing about diamonds except that they sparkled in the light. We decided to purchase from the Internet as the prices were significantly lower than our local jewlers. After much research, we settled on contacting Union Diamond. After reviewing several salesperson's testimonials, we asked for Barbara Palumbo as she had exceptional reviews by previous customers. When I reached her, we told her our story about losing our diamond she immediately gained our confidence working closely with us via telephone and e-mail, the search began for a new stone. We told Barbara approximately what we wanted with the specifications we wanted and she began the search. When she returned the first e-mail to me, I noticed at the bottom of the page that she had a signature block of Union Diamond, Senior Vice President. I advised her that I did not know she had been promoted and that she could transfer me to a sales agent. Barbara would have none of that. She said if "I took the time to ask for her by name, it did not matter if she were the President of Union Diamond, she would help me fulfill our needs and boy did she ever". Previous to this, we had purchased a used vintage platinum engagement ring and wedding band from another dealer and wanted to pick a stone to mount in that setting. Even though I was looking for a F-G clarity and a minimum of VS1 to match the existing rings, Barbara found us a carat and a half stone with slightly lower specifications that we were looking for that looked as good if not better than a much higher rated stone and for a much much lower price. So far so good you say. No this gets better. I sent Barbara our rings to have the new stone mounted. After she received them and after close inspection, she found the rings to be platinum as we purchased but much of the soldering had been done with gold solder and plated over to look white to match the rest of the platinum. With the novice human eye, we could not see the covered up yellow gold solder but it showed up as the plating wore off. Barbara’s vigilance led to my returning the rings to the dealer I purchased them from to rectify the situation and they are. Although Barbara ideitified the deficiencies in our rings, she never tried to or pressure us in any way to purchase new rings from Union Diamond. When we received our new stone, packaged in a beautifully boxed presentation, my wife was pleasently shocked when she opened the box. The stone was absolutley stuning and my wife was estatic. The look on her face was worth the price. From the very first moment I began to talk with Barbara, I felt completly at ease and she gained my trust immediately. Barbara looked after us throughout the entire process giving us a lot of advice and tips while never trying to pressure us into anything. With all of the lousy things going on in the world, our financial institutions and insurance companies, wall street etc, it is wonderful to do business with someone who is looking out for your concerns rather than taking advantage of you. I am normally very critical when it concerns providing customer service when doing business with a retailer and I can assure you, Barbara provided me and my wife with the absolute best customer service that we have ever recieved. During my career, I have completed many management training and customer service courses including those by Demming. After all of that training, I learned first hand what customer service was really all about dealing with Barbara Palumbo. There is no doubt in my mind that Barbara will rise to the top in her field and Union diamond. I convey to Union Diamond leadership that Barbara Palumbo is an absolute keeper and a leadership candidate and I did not even know her until about a week ago. Barbara, my wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I can not say enough about my experience with Union Diamond! When I started my engagement ring shopping experience, I was going to all of the common jewelry store chains and felt like I was being pushed into buying a terrible grade diamond at very high prices. After discussing this with my best friend, he introduced me to Union Diamond and that was one of the best things that he has ever said! I had never heard of Union Diamond until I was surfing the net looking for information on diamond earrings that we were planning to buy our daughter to mark her completing her Ph.D.

I decided to purchase loose stones and have them set into earrings. I am a very analytical person and spent weeks researching everything I could about diamonds (and about Union Diamond - you can be sure I checked them out too!), but still was unsure of what I wanted and could expect in terms of color, clarity, cut, carat. I contacted Union Diamond and was so lucky to have Leah Cawley as my guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful, not at all pushy. I feel that she really listened to what I wanted and within a day or two had some options for me to consider. I completely trusted her and her judgement, particularly since she needed to be my "eyes" and provide an honest assessment of the stones.

In the end, I chose a beatifully matched pair of stones, and Leah went even above and beyond in getting them set in 18k white gold with special push-back (safety) backs, which to me was a "must-have".

Our daughter loves the earrings and we know that she will look fabulous in them forever!

One last point...It was critical to me that I be able to return the earrings for any reason if needed. Union Diamond's fair and lenient return policy gave me the comfort I needed to make my final decision. Obviously, there was never a thought or need to return them. In fact, the day after I received the earrings, I had them appraised by an independent certified appraiser and was happy, and amazed, when the appraised value came out to be 80% higher than what I paid for them.

Darrell Cox is the man. What can I say?
I was skeptical about letting my fiance buy something so expensive online. I read the reviews and was blown away and decided to let my fiance take the leap. Part of it was self-interest because I wanted a near colorless radiant cut stone 4 carats or bigger with an "ideal cut" and SI 1 clarity or better. I saw the prices in the 100k range through my research and decided I would have to get an SI 2 and maybe sacrifice on color and perhaps even cut. After all, the goal was for my hubby to still like me when the process was complete of ring-buying....lol

Darrell saved the day. He got us a radiant over 4 carats, in VS1 and a G color for a fraction of what local retailers were quoting me (and in VS1 no less, which I hadn't even dreamed considering) and an "ideal cut". Only round brilliants can truly be "idea, but this stone is cut to perfectly reflect light and truly, the light show on my finger prooves it. I was worried about a G color stone thinking it would be too warm (yellow). I had a "perfect D" color stone last time and it was so big and white (and frankly, lifeless) that I actually wanted something a bit warmer, but I had no idea what to expect of a stone in a near-colorless as opposed to "colorless" range. I thought it would look yellow and cheap. Darrell picked this stone for us and I trusted him because he is a GIA certified expert, not some cheesy salesperson. I trusted his assessment, he asked me lots of questions and he really knew what I wanted and he paid attention to the fact that I was dissatisfied in the past with a too white stone that looked fake.
I am so happy! Darrell was so patient and helpful and enthusiastic that I cannot say enough good things about him.He called me and emailed me daily on the progress of my ring. He found me the perfect 1 carat setting in white gold and special ordered a head to accommodate the large stone I'd chosen.

People have been gawking at the ring. Adam and I went to our favorite restaurant and the owner made me show everyone. I swear dozens of women just started to applaud. This ring is the most beautiful sparkly thing I have ever laid eyes on and I can hardly believe it's mine. I'm stunned every time I look at it. It is amazing in every light. I am so happy, I can't stop crying. One of the coolest things is that I know how much a ring like this could have cost us. This ring looks like 100k easy. I know it and so do many of the people who have seen it. And while it wasn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination, we paid a fraction of what an H VS1 4.05 carat radiant would have cost if we just went anywhere and purchased it. The sparkle and cut on this stone is phenomenal and I am so glad I trusted you because the color is perfect. It faces up gorgeous and white, yet the warmth adds depth and "realness".....you take one look at this baby and know you are looking at the genuine article. I have attached a million pics. Also, when I got my ring finger sized, it was between a 4 and 4.5...I should have gone with a 4.5, but I am so smitten that I can't part with it even a day to get it sized. Maybe when the novelty wears off (like never!) I can send it to get resized up.

Twenty years ago, on our honeymoon, I gave my wife a diamond and sapphire ring under the Arc of Triumph in Paris. This summer, I'm taking my wife and 13-year-old daughter on a trip around Western Europe, including a few days in Paris. This will probably be my last chance to stand under the Arc with my wife. I have no intention of missing this opportunity for a repeat performance.

I decided up front that I needed two“past-present-future,” three-stone, diamond rings, one for my wife and a smaller one with smaller stones for my daughter. My problem was that I wanted each ring to have all three of its stones close to the same size. Rings with a much larger center stone look like engagement rings. My wife already had a nice solitaire that she wore with a ring guard, and I obviously did not need a ring for my 13 year old that looked like an engagement ring. I had noticed that many offerings from various vendors had stone mountings that stood up very high off the finger. Every woman I talked to agreed that the high profile would be awkward for regular wear. I wanted simple, elegant mountings that would stay down, be quiet, and let the three, near-equal-sized diamonds do the talking.

I went to five or six brick-and-mortar jewelry stores in my area. With the economy what it is, I expected that they would be highly motivated to meet my needs. Guess again. At each stop, a salesperson promised to call me in a couple of days with an offering of ring choices. Not a single one called. I went back to two of them and they remembered me, but even after a second visit, they did not get back.

I've always been leery of buying jewelry online, sight unseen, but I figured out pretty quickly that online options had better value. (For sure, the service couldn't get much worse.) I looked at the most prominent EBay sellers, but concluded that they were vastly over-grading their merchandise. I looked up reviews on some of their certification sources, and the results were scary. Even though I have more than 400 EBay transactions on record, I decided to stay away from EBay sellers this time.

I tried a total of four online vendors, including Blue Nile, who has a well-deserved, excellent reputation. Of the four, Blue Nile was the least responsive. Two others were reasonably responsive, but apparently didn't pay attention to my initial explanation of requirements. I had to keep reiterating. Ultimately, I got offers from all of my online vendors, but, for all but one, it was like pulling teeth. Only one of the online vendors could do the rings without a significant charge for customization.

Now let’s talk about that one vendor. I had decided to include Union Diamond because they had a reputation for customer service that was slightly better than Blue Nile, which is saying something. My sales rep was Heleena Shore, who is (like so many of Union’s diamonds) GIA certified. Heleena was on a whole different level from the other vendors’ sales personnel. She immediately went to work. The ring settings I needed were not in the regular Union stock. She went about finding ones that she could bring in that would avoid the costs of a custom build of each ring.

Union’s larger diamonds are mostly certified by EGL and GIA. GIA is the last word in diamond certification, period. I knew that I didn’t have to worry about buying diamonds sight-unseen if they were certified by GIA. My smaller ring would have a total diamond weight of only .75 C, and certification was not cost effective for such small stones (.25C). Heleena told me the smaller stones would be in the VS clarity range and H color. I figured, based on Union’s reputation, that I could go that route without much risk. All I really needed was SI – “eye clean,” as they say.

Heleena worked some real magic. She came up with two beautiful settings: the small one in yellow gold and the larger one in platinum, as I had also requested. They would accept three equal-sized stones, and the stones were set very low. They were just as simple and elegant as I could want. Perfect!

What about the stones? Of course the GIA stones turned out to be what you expect to get with GIA, but what about the three small, uncertified stones? I haven’t put them under a microscope, but I can tell you that under a 30X loupe, I see no flaws, period. When Union says VS, they mean VS. Union’s diamond prices, when specifications and certifications are fully taken into account, are better than the best of the competition.

Union shipped the rings exactly when Heleena said they would. Heleena accomplished something for me that no other seller could accomplish and something that most would not even attempt. I should add that she was unerringly friendly, positive, and upbeat, but never pushy. More than anything else, it was Heleena Shore who made me a Union customer. She is a true professional and a credit to Union and the industry.

I found Union’s packaging interesting. The ring with the certified stones came in a long, flat, attractive presentation box. At first I thought they’d mixed up the order and sent me a necklace. When I opened the dark-blue outer box, I found a beautiful layout, with matching ring box and folder for certificates. The message was clear: Union doesn't just sell sizzle -- they sell steak too. Did you ever wonder why the typical diamond ad says something like “Every kiss begins with Kay,” but the mainstream chains never talk about the quality of their diamonds? Union sells investment-quality stones. With Union, you get form; you get substance; and Union emphasizes the substance as part of the presentation.

I look forward to spreading the word about Union Diamond. If you want to buy diamonds or diamond jewelry with no hassle and if you want a legitimate investment that you can enjoy every day, give Union serious consideration. Be sure that you take certification into account when you compare prices, because certification costs money. Also know that you can trust the grades that Union assigns, even without certification.

End-to-end on my transaction, Heleena Shore and Union Diamond simply blew away the competition. In fact, when compared to Union, there WAS no competition. Next time around, I won’t even bother with other vendors.

I have so many wonderful things to say about my purchase of a princess cut stone with engagement ring that I obtained with the incredible help and trust of Heleena Shore at Union Diamond! It's going to be easy to comment on the unbeleiveable value and huge discount I got because that is a fact and that's also easy for everyone to focus on. But it goes so far beyond price and value. I was so nervous about purchasing a ring and stone of this quality and price, not necessarily over the internet because I did my diligence and evaluation of the companies, but because I wanted this ring to mean something so special! It had to be a quality stone, and a ring that was different form the rest, and I got both form Heleena! She was so patient with me. Never short changed me of her time and answered every question with the confidence that I needed to hear. so important was that she even helped me look at things the way a woman would! I started out wanting to get my fiancée a 1 carat solitaire, and a simple wedding band to match it. I shopped Sam’s. I shopped Costco. Costco was better, but for both places you are on your own getting the ring sized, and I didn’t really expect a lot of love from local jewelers in getting that done, plus I didn't feel right about asking them for this service when they hadn't sold me the ring. Then I found out that the diamond you think you are getting when you order is not the one you really get. They just guarantee it will have the pedigree and 4 C’s you want. I “yelped” the local jewelers and went to the one in town that had over 25 five-star recommendations. They had 3 diamonds in my size range, 2 of which were clearly unacceptable, due to the cut (cut is very important). The third looked good but had no GIA pedigree to back up what the guy was telling me (VS?, G, good, good), and he wanted $8000 for it mounted as a solitaire. I started looking on the web and stumbled on a reference to Union Diamond. I was amazed at the selection of diamonds. I was able to select from thousands in a very easy process and by the time I had narrowed it down, I had 25 to choose from – all in the $4k range, so I got more selective. I found 2 ea., 1 carat, IF, H’s, with ideal cut and very good polish and symmetry, with GIA certs, and selected the Tiffany mount, each in the $5k range, and put them in my cart. Then I did a thorough scam search on the company and discovered that they had virtually no complaints from any source. Then I called Union Diamond and got the most personable and knowledgeable sales woman named Barbara on the phone. From that point on, I did nothing over the web. Barbara had both diamonds pulled from inventory (I gave her the part numbers from my cart) and verified their existence and quality. She made very helpful suggestions on the diamond to choose as well as the mount, and how to verify my fiancées ring-size. I decided to really go out on a limb and pay by wire, which saved me several $100’s. Barbara kept me up to date during the whole shipping process. The ring was fantastic. I got out my 10x scope and it was truly amazing. I would have easily paid $10k plus 8.25% tax for it, if I could have found it in Austin, TX, and it was on my girl’s finger for half that cost. She was blown away. Next problem was the wedding band, and my girl didn’t know where I had gotten this rock, but she wanted to shop locally for the band. I told her, “ok, but you have to promise me that you will consider another source for the band”. I called Barbara up and she got to work. Meantime we went to the local 5-star jeweler, where she was thoroughly underwhelmed, as I had been previously. By the time we got back home Barbara had sent images of an incredibly beautiful 26-diamond (0.39 tcw) wrap in 14k white gold. The price was about 40% less than a much lower quality setting we were considering having custom made by the local business. I had it in my hand in 2 days. It was the perfect complement to the solitaire. Here’s the bottom line guys; 1) I would not have been able to get this quality diamond locally – they simply don’t have a 25,000 diamond inventory and never will, 2) I would not have been able to afford an approximate quality ring locally – it would have easily cost me $7k more with taxes included - easily, 3) The sales help was outstanding - I don’t know how it could have been better – Barbara took care of everything and seemed like she was having fun doing it, 4) They are lightening fast on delivery – much faster than the local jeweler, unless you get lucky and find the exact ring in the right size – good luck with that, 5) They are for real – they are professional – they know their stuff – they care – and they deliver. I hate to say this, but times have changed and facts are facts. Don’t even think about going local. It is impossible for them to compete. Even if you have the money to burn, you won’t get the quality you will get from Union Diamond. They are the new standard for diamond jewelry on the merits of quality alone, and as far as price is concerned – well it’s not even close.

As an experienced value-hunter and Google researcher I was much less intimidated at the prospect of choosing a diamond ring for my bride-to-be than I was by delivering a creative and surprising marriage proposal. However, after getting a handle on the "4 C's" and touring a gamut of jewelry shops large and small, I was surprised at the lack of consistency in price and apparent value. Just like precious metals, I figured the price of any given diamond would be dictated by its size and quality. As it turns out, if you see the words "Sale" or "Discount" in association with diamonds it probably means the prices are closer to realistic. To me, it sounds like a sales pitch in which I should feel honored that they are choosing not to rip me off.

I ended up with two settings and four diamonds on my wishlist. I finally decided on a princess-cut diamond in a white gold solitaire setting and submitted the order online. I printed out the wire transfer instructions (because Union Diamond gives you a discount for purchasing this way) and headed to the bank. I called on my way and a Union Diamond representative picked up right away and found my order within seconds. She actually told me to wait a few hours on the wire transfer until she could confirm that the diamond was in stock at their west coast warehouse, I was blown away!

It actually felt like the concern was with my satisfaction in the order, not with obtaining my payment. The representative also let me know that it would be her associate calling me back, assuaging my concerns about employees competing for bonuses. A few hours later I got a call from a different representative, Todd Neuhaus, who went through the order with me again and personally verified that the diamond was in stock and ready to be set. I sent the money via wire transfer and a couple hours later Todd let me know they would be starting on the ring.

It arrived in the mail 6 days after ordering it, even though I made a change to the order by requesting a different size. I was also told that I could send it back for a free resize if necessary, and the ring came with an insurance appraisal that allowed me to get insurance the same day. I proposed the following weekend and I'm now engaged. My fiancee couldn't be happier with her ring and I find her admiring it and turning it in the light when she thinks I'm not watching. I was very impressed at how simple shopping at UnionDiamond.com could be and at the quality of service I received by their representatives.

I would recommend Union Diamond to anyone looking to find honest prices, a good education and quality customer service.

At this point I wanted to a bit more personal assistance. I decided to ring into Union Diamond and immediately got Darrell Cox on the line. The whole process was easy. I gave him a number which allowed him to view at the diamond I had been looking at.

Darrell's personality, knowledge, attitude and recommendations were exceptional. He took time to understand what I was looking for and thought the choice I made was good and explained why. He really focused on what my needs were and was not pushy at all. This is probably one of the best sales experiences I have ever had.

I decided to also get a diamond wedding band, and again Darrell helped me and I chose a gorgeous ring.

when it comes to looking for a diamond, you have to get to know not only the 4 Cs but also the C of Customer Service. Originally, it was very difficult to make such a major purchase online. You want to ask your gf for what she wants ( or test what she likes). I spoke with Darrell Cox, and he helped first assure me that there was a diamond that was right for her. If you have a question, just ask Darrell and he will make it a priority to get back to you. Buying a diamond, you need to have your jeweler on your side and on your team in being a part of your journey. With Darrell, I was treated with the care that allowed me to search and test and with his help find what i was looking for. as you search for something online at union diamond, don't hesitate to ask Darrell to be on your team and help you find the diamond for her.

I purchased an engagement ring from Union Diamond. I was very nervous about buying such an expensive and important item over the internet but was soon put to ease by Danielle and Heleena. The ring we selected was perfect and my fiance has received many compliments (and so have I for selecting such a beautiful ring).

I recently bought an engagement ring at Union Diamond. The whole staff and especially Leah Cawley were a huge help. I was clueless on diamonds before I met her. She helped explain everything I needed to know. She sat with me and talked me through the whole process. Leah called me while they were making the ring to let me know they were making the ring and that it should be done in a few days. Her professionalism was beyond what I ever expected. I had a horrible experience with another online diamond company (Novori.com), so I was a little gun-shy when I first contacted Union Diamond. But I read tons of great reviews, especially about Barbara Palumbo, so I decided to give 'em a shot.

I knew from my first call with Barbara that my experience with Union Diamond would be head-and-shoulders above the other company. Barbara spent at least 45 minutes with me on that first call -- she really listened to me and understood what I was looking for. We discussed at great length the difference between EGL and GIA certified stones, as well as SI1 versus SI2 clarity. My budget was fairly modest (I wanted to spend between $3,000-$4,500 for something a little over a carat), so I decided that I wanted a G SI1. After several days of searching and many emails back-and-forth with Barbara, we hadn't found anything that fit all my parameters. But Barbara was very patient and looked at numerous options for me. She suggested that I take a look at a particular G SI2 (instead of an SI1).

Long story short, I was willing to pay $4,200 for another G SI1 that I saw, but Barbara convinced me that the G SI2 for under $3,400 that she found was more accurate in terms of color and looked better than most SI1s! So I saved more than $800 and got a higher-quality stone!

When I took the stone that I had previously bought at Novori.com to my local jeweler, he basically told me that I had gotten ripped-off. But when I took the stone from Union Diamond to him, he said "I can already tell this diamond is much better quality than the other one" and that was before he even looked at it in the loop! I had a great experience with Union Diamond! I purchased my wedding band there and the price was unbeatable and the product is beautiful! I don't know how many jewelry stores I went to to find what I wanted, but all the retail stores were way overpriced. Union Diamond offered it for almost half of what the retail jewelry stores offered!

Above else, they have great customer service. I worked with Leah Cawley and she was so helpful and responsive in all of our correspondences. I had recently changed my address on my credit card that was used to purchase the ring, and Leah called me immediately to make sure that there wasn't anything shady going on, and followed up with me throughout the whole purchase/shipping/delivery process. Some people might be weary of making diamond/jewelry purchases online, but with my recent experience, I wish some retail stores practiced the security policies that Leah and Union Diamond displayed.

I am a resident of the Netherlands and was recently looking to purchase a specific type of diamond. After looking over several options on the internet Union Diamond offered one of the lowest prices for the diamond I wanted (1.7 ct, H, SI1-SI2, excellent polish, symmetry, medium girdle).

The reason, however, I eventually chose Union Diamond was because of the good reviews I read about them on the internet. After showing interest in two diamonds through the internet it only took a couple of hours (and I guess that was due to the time lag) for Danielle Haskett to respond. From then on the service was impeccable. I received prompt responses, I received additional pictures of the diamond without even asking for it, the import levies for the Netherlands were included in the bill so that I knew what the total amount of costs would be (and I did not have to conduct a seperate payment to customs) etc. In all I would definitely recommend making use of Union Diamond and their excellent service (even when you are overseas).
